I didn’t vote for Harris because of her hypocrisy on crime.

But I didn’t vote for Trump because of his lies on immigration and tariffs.

These past few months have shown just how crazy he is gotten with slashing R&D programs and killing American talent.

Your spot on that Gen Z voted on giving the middle finger to the establishment, but also spot on in how Trump cut that middle finger off.

OMG Trump has been President for six (6) months. Can we please wait until the end of his presidency before passing judgment. And quoting CNN & CBS is so partisan.

Good article. I think an important point made is that despite the loss of support among the younger generation, the Democrats are unlikely to capitalize on it because of their marriage to identity politics.

I'm still not sure I agree that the younger generations are not becoming more right-wing. I think a good pulse is watching streamers and, in particular, Asmongold. His demographics skew much younger and the tone from many of the chatters is that Trump is being ineffective in enacting his policies. Not enough bad actors are being put in jail, crime has not been substantially reduced, and government leaders/employees are committing fraud and acts against the interest of America and they are not being held accountable.

This might not be a good barometer and may be based towards certain demographics, but I still wouldn't discount it.

I think Gen Z is learning faster than other generations that politicians will lie and no one will be held accountable for it. Rather than a disillusionment with Trump specifically, I think it's more a disillusionment with politics and politicians overall. No one gets fired, no one goes to jail, no one is held accountable when they make lives worse for everyone.
