No Compromise on the Intolerable
If the LGBT complex wins, the losers will be families because, despite all the dismissals to the contrary, the quiet part is increasingly being said aloud: they’re coming for the kids.
As more states pursue laws designed to protect children and enshrine parents’ rights, the healthcare industry, ideologues, and politicians continue to work against them. Utah is an illustrative example where the LGBT lobby has plenty of money, connections, and institutional support.
There, Republican Gov. Spencer Cox was recently stunned to find conservative lawmakers hiding in his party. Though they are a rare breed on the national stage, the real McCoy can occasionally be found in flyover country, exchanging fire with the encroaching warbands of liberalism.
On March 4, state legislators presented Cox with a proposal to outright ban transgender student-athletes from competing on girls’ teams. But an appalled Cox announced that he would veto the bill to avoid offending LGBT activists. Fortunately, GOP lawmakers in Utah overrode the veto on March 25, pushing the ban through Cox’s opposition.
