Struggle for the World

In my first essay for The Imaginative Conservative, I examine the relations between economic and political forces using Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations and Agricola by Tacitus. I try to illustrate how political power can flow from economic power, bringing about fundamental changes, often unintentionally, in society.
